Us: "Ryland, why do you think people left their trash all over the putt putt course?"
Ryland: "Because, their parents didn't raise them very well. And because nobody was watching them."
Us: "Should you do the right thing, even though no one is watching you?"
Ryland: "Because it's the rule. And you do the right thing, even if nobody's watching. And you throw trash away because you're helping earth and it's not a big trash pit. You drive safe and the speed limit, because that's what keeps people safe."

It has taken, and will continue to take, a lot of work, patience and time to help him understand the "why" behind behavior and actions or lack of. But, we are determined to do our part in instilling good habits, respect for others, self discipline and self respect.
It's easy to do the wrong thing when no one is watching. But, you are being watched. God knows all and God sees all. You will be held accountable at the end of your days.
James 4:17 ESV / 721
"So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin."
Romans 2:6-8 ESV / 64
"He will render to each one according to his works: to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, He will give eternal life; but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury."
Together, we try to practice kindness everywhere we go and with everyone we meet. It is important for us to be wise. And ask God for guidance. Not everyone is appreciative and many will take our kindness for granted. Unfortunately, there are self seeking, selfish people, who prey on the kindness of others. Don't let that stop you from practicing random acts of kindness and helping others who ask. And of course, those who don't. You never know. A smile and a nice hello may be enough to make their day. There are those who have battles that we will never know about, and our kind word, smile or gesture, could make a difference in their life.
Intevgrity and acts of kindness come in all forms and fashions. It could be.....
Handing a tip to the lady cleaning the women’s bathroom where there is no tip jar available, and thanking her for her work.
Helping an elderly man carry his plate from the buffet line to his table.
Payimg for someone's groceries when they don't have the money.
Informing the cashier that they did not charge you enough.
I have been reminded that God raised us up with Christ…in order that in the coming ages He might show the incomparable riches of His grace, expressed in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:6-7)
God has been kind to us. It is our joy to pay Him back by being kind to others.
The best kindness is doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you.
We try hard to be good examples and do our best. We make mistakes and we pray for guidance and strength. We like how Marian puts it.
"Being considerate of others will take your children further in life than any college degree." – Marian Wright Edelman
What are you doing to help make the world a better place?
To help someone who can never repay you?
To be kind and do the right thing, even when "you think" no one is looking?

We are a regular couple just trying to make a happy and healthy life together. We pray together, workout together, fish, hunt, camp, go on road trips, talk, cry, laugh, live and love our Pepperdog. We will offer advice here, share our stories, and do what we can to help others. We are not perfect. Only God is perfect, always and forever. We just do the best we can to get by day by day. Life is a journey through good and bad times, disappointments and regrets. To have a best friend in your spouse is the best feeling in the world. It is necessary that we keep this friendship alive and safe everyday. Each day is a new day, to love, to live and to make the decision that you will be on the devil's most wanted list. Chin up, with God, all things are possible.
